1. About this policy
1.1 This privacy policy explains how WENS Browser (“WENS”), made by WENSLink Private Limited (CIN U80900AS2019PTC019435), registered office MAA Commercial Complex, Third Floor, NH-15, Bechimari, Dist. Darrang, Assam 784514, India, handles information when you download, install and use WENS Browser version 1.0.x on Windows, and when you visit this page and the other pages of this site at wenslink.com/WENS. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean WENSLink Private Limited, and “you” means the person who uses WENS.
1.2 Our company website has its own privacy policy. This policy covers WENS and this site only.
1.3 Earlier early-access versions (0.3.x) followed the earlier version of this policy (version 1.0, effective 9 October 2026). If you still use an earlier version, update to 1.0.x so that this policy describes what the app does.
1.4 Please read this policy together with our Terms of use. If a section here says something about a feature you do not use, it does not apply to you.
2. The short version
WENS has no account and no analytics. Your history, bookmarks, settings and the agent’s activity log stay on your PC. A task you give the agent goes to the AI provider you choose, with your own key, or stays on your PC if you use the on-device model. WENS asks wenslink.com for the latest version number when it opens. If you share your browser with a guest, our relay server helps the two apps find each other, and it stores nothing. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertisements.
- On your PC: browsing history, bookmarks, saved sessions, settings, encrypted API keys, downloads, the activity log and local measurements.
- Sent to an AI provider you choose: your task and the page text the agent reads, with your own key.
- Sent to WENSLink: an update check, a download if you ask for one, and, only if you share your browser, signaling messages through our relay. No browsing, no tasks and no settings.
- Never collected by us: your passwords, card details, one-time codes or the pages you visit.
3. Words we use
- My browser is the part of WENS where you browse the web yourself, in tabs, like any browser.
- The agent is the AI assistant in WENS that carries out a task you write. It works in its own separate browser profile, called the agent’s browser.
- Secure tab is an isolated view in which you open a site yourself when that site’s security check keeps repeating in the agent’s browser. The agent does not act inside a Secure tab.
- Connected tab is one signed-in tab of your own browsing that you explicitly allow one task to use.
- AI provider means a cloud service that runs an AI model, such as Groq, Google (Gemini) or OpenRouter.
- On-device AI means a model that runs on your own PC.
- Activity log means the record, kept on your PC, of the steps the agent took.
- Personal data means information about an identifiable person, as defined by the law that applies to you, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
4. How WENS is built around your data
4.1 Local first. WENS keeps your browsing data and the agent’s records on your PC. We do not run a server that holds your browsing, your tasks or your settings.
4.2 No account. You do not sign up with us to use WENS, so we do not hold a profile of you.
4.3 You choose the AI. You decide which AI provider, if any, receives your tasks, and you may use an on-device model instead.
4.4 You approve actions. The agent asks before actions that matter, and you can stop a task at any time.
4.5 The minimum. Each network connection described in this policy sends the technical minimum that an internet request needs, such as your IP address, and the content that the feature itself requires.
5. The parts of WENS and what each one means for your data
5.1 My browser. When you browse in My browser, the websites you visit receive your requests, and see your IP address and browser information, as they do in any browser. They may set cookies. WENS stores those cookies, your history and your site data on your PC.
5.2 The agent’s browser. When you give the agent a task, it opens websites in its own browser profile, reads the pages, and acts as you approve. The pages it reads are processed by the AI provider you chose (see section 9). The websites the agent visits receive requests from your PC and see your IP address.
5.3 Secure tabs. A Secure tab is a view you use yourself. Each remembered site has its own storage, which you can clear. Requests from a Secure tab go through WENS’s own network guard on your PC, which allows only secure connections to public websites.
5.4 Connected tab. If you choose to connect one of your signed-in tabs to one task, the agent can read and act in that tab for that task only. What the agent reads there is processed like any other page it reads, by the AI provider you chose. Do not connect a tab whose content you do not want that provider to receive.
5.5 Sharing your browser. You can invite a guest to see and help in your browser. This is described in section 14.
5.6 On-device AI. If you download an on-device model and use it, your task and the page text go to a local program on your PC and nowhere else.
6. What stays on your PC
6.1 WENS keeps the following in folders in your Windows user profile, under the application data folder of your Windows user (the folders are named WENSLinkAgent and WENSLink Computer Agent). We do not receive any of it.
- Browsing history, bookmarks, quick links on the start page, the tabs to reopen when WENS starts, and cached site icons.
- The browser profiles WENS uses: cookies, saved sessions and site data for My browser, and, kept separately, for the agent’s browser.
- The separate storage that each Secure tab site keeps.
- Your settings, including any API keys you enter. API keys are encrypted with the secure storage that Windows provides to the app, and are not written to disk as plain text.
- The activity log: a tamper-evident record of the steps the agent took, and the list of actions that were interrupted midway.
- Files you download in My browser, and files you choose to attach to a task for as long as the task needs them in memory (see section 10).
- Optional files you choose to download: the on-device AI model, browser extensions, and the lists WENS uses to warn about phishing and malware websites.
- Local measurements and diagnostics that contain counts, timings and technical facts, never page content (see section 15).
6.2 WENS has controls to clear browsing data by type and by time, and WENS removes its own temporary files. Uninstalling WENS removes the program; the data folders may remain until you delete them yourself.
7. What we do not do
- We do not create an account or a profile for you.
- WENS does not contain advertising, and we do not show you advertisements.
- We have not built analytics, telemetry or crash reporting that sends information about your use from WENS to us.
- We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
- We do not read your passwords, card numbers or one-time codes. You type them yourself, into the website.
- We do not receive the pages you visit, the tasks you write, your bookmarks or your history.
8. What leaves your PC, and why
8.1 Apart from the websites you visit and the websites the agent visits for your task, these are the connections WENS makes. Each one carries the content that the feature needs, and the technical minimum such as your IP address.
- AI provider you choose. To run a task, WENS sends your task, and text from the pages the agent reads, to Groq (
api.groq.com), Google Gemini (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) or OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), using the API key you entered. See section 9. - On-device AI. If you use the on-device model, the task and the page text go to a local program on your PC and nowhere else. Data that WENS marks as secret goes only to this local route.
- Update check. When WENS opens, it asks
wenslink.comfor the latest version number. Nothing about you is sent. Installing an update is your choice. Before WENS runs an installer, it checks the installer’s SHA-256 and its digital signature, and refuses an installer that fails either check. - On-device model download. If you choose it, the model file is downloaded from Hugging Face.
- Extensions. If you add one, WENS downloads it from the Chrome Web Store.
- Malicious website warning. WENS downloads public phishing and malware lists from GitHub and checks addresses against them on your PC. The addresses you browse are not sent anywhere for this check.
- Site icons. For bookmarks and quick links, WENS fetches each site’s own icon from that site, and only that site is asked. No third-party icon service is used.
- Search. When you search from the start page, your search goes to the search engine you pick (Google or Bing). When the agent searches the web for a task, it uses DuckDuckGo.
- Sharing your browser. Only if you start a share, WENS connects to our relay at
relay.wenslink.com. See section 14.
9. AI providers and your data
9.1 When you use a cloud AI provider, WENS sends it your task, the instructions that WENS adds so that the agent can work, the text of the pages the agent has read for that task, and the text of any text attachments you added. Your own API key goes with the request so that the provider can serve you.
9.2 The provider handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy, not ours, and may process it on servers outside India. Some free plans allow a provider to keep what you send, to review it, or to use it to improve its models. Read the provider’s terms before you use the agent with anything private.
9.3 To avoid sending something to a provider, use the on-device model, do not attach the file, do not open a private page in a task, or do not use the agent on that page.
9.4 WENS is built so that passwords, card details and one-time codes are typed by you into the page and are not sent to the AI. Do not write secrets in the task box, because the task text is sent to the provider.
9.5 We do not receive the API keys you enter. They are stored on your PC. Keep your keys private and revoke a key at the provider if you think it has been exposed.
10. Attachments and what the agent sees
10.1 You can attach images, ordinary files and zip archives to a task. WENS reads an attachment in memory. Nothing is written to disk by the attachment feature, and nothing is opened or run.
10.2 What the AI receives from an attachment is its name, kind and size and, for readable text, the text (clipped to a limit). For an image, only its name and size are given to the agent: the agent cannot look at images. For a zip archive, WENS lists the entries and reads text entries in memory.
10.3 The agent can read what is on a page it opens, including text you can see on that page. If a page shows private information, the agent may read it and your chosen AI provider may receive it.
11. Microphone and other site permissions
11.1 In My browser, a website can ask to use a feature such as your microphone, as in any browser. WENS lets you allow or block the microphone for each website, and the choice applies to that website only. A website you allow receives the audio, under that website’s own privacy policy.
11.2 WENS has no feature of its own that records audio. Secure tabs deny every website permission except writing to the clipboard, which is used for copy buttons.
12. Downloads
12.1 Files you download in My browser are saved to a folder on your PC. WENS never opens a downloaded file for you and never overwrites an existing file; it saves a new copy with a different name instead. The download list is kept on your PC and you can clear it.
12.2 A downloaded file comes from a third party. Check it before you open it. WENS warns you about websites on the public phishing and malware lists, but it cannot promise that a file is safe.
12.3 Secure tabs do not allow downloads or uploads in this version.
13. Secure tabs and the connected tab
13.1 A Secure tab is a view that you use yourself, in which the site is treated as untrusted. It has no access to your PC’s files, and its requests pass through the network guard that allows only secure connections to public websites. Its logs record the host name only: never a page address path, a query, a cookie, a header or page content.
13.2 The connected tab is an explicit, per-task grant. Only WENS’s own page can start it, and the agent cannot select or find a tab on its own. When the task ends, the access ends. What the agent reads in a connected tab is processed like any other page it reads (see section 9).
14. Sharing your browser with a guest
14.1 WENS can let a guest you invite see your browser and help in it. This happens only if you start it. You can stop it at any time.
14.2 To connect your app and the guest’s app, you give the guest a six-digit code. WENS connects to our relay at relay.wenslink.com, which pairs the two apps by that code and passes the technical connection messages (WebRTC offers, answers and candidates). Those messages contain network addresses of the two PCs, which the relay therefore handles while pairing them.
14.3 The picture of your browser and the guest’s input then travel between the two apps over WebRTC, encrypted end to end, directly or, if the two PCs cannot reach each other, through a relay server (TURN) run for WENS, which carries only encrypted traffic and can see the network addresses involved.
14.4 Our relay is designed to store nothing, and its documentation states that codes, names and signaling messages are never logged; its logs count open and ended sessions only. While you share, fields that look like passwords, card numbers or one-time codes are covered before the picture leaves your PC.
14.5 A guest sees what is in your shared browser. Share only with people you trust, and do not share while a private page is open.
15. Logs and local measurements
15.1 The activity log records the steps the agent took, so that you can see what happened. It is written on your PC as a tamper-evident chain. It is not sent to us.
15.2 WENS keeps content-free measurements (counts and timings) on your PC to help find faults. They contain no page content. They are not sent to us. If you or someone helping you switches on extra diagnostics, WENS can write more technical lines to a log file on your PC, such as the host, status and security-check indicators of a page load, but never cookie values, tokens, query values or page content.
15.3 If you send us a log file to get help, you decide what you send. Read it first and remove anything private.
16. This site
16.1 This site (wenslink.com/WENS) uses no advertising and no third-party analytics, and it loads no scripts, fonts or images from other websites. It does not set tracking cookies. A small script on the page reads a version file from the same site so that the version, size and checksum shown are current.
16.2 If you click a link to another website, that website is responsible for its own handling of your data.
17. What WENSLink receives
17.1 We do not receive your browsing, your tasks or your settings. Our website and downloads are served by our hosting provider. For each request, the server logs record your IP address, the time, the file asked for, the response and your software’s name and version. We use this to run and secure the service, for example to see that an update was available or to spot abuse. The hosting provider keeps these logs under its own retention settings.
17.2 The relay (section 14) is operated by us. It keeps no record of codes, names or messages.
17.3 If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply, and your email address, for as long as needed to help you and to keep a record of the contact.
17.4 We may keep or disclose information if the law requires it, if needed to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to investigate abuse of our systems.
18. Where data is processed
18.1 Your browsing data stays on your PC. When you use an AI provider, a website, GitHub, Hugging Face or the Chrome Web Store, your data is sent to their servers, which may be outside India, under their policies. Our hosting provider and relay server may also be outside India. By using those features you accept that your data may travel across borders for that purpose. Do not use a feature if you do not want that.
19. How long data is kept, and how to delete it
19.1 Data on your PC stays until you remove it. Use the clear-data controls in WENS to delete browsing data by type and time, remove a Secure tab site to delete its storage, or delete the WENS data folders after uninstalling.
19.2 Hosting server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. Emails to us are kept as stated in section 17.
19.3 Data that an AI provider, a website or another third party holds is deleted under their rules. Ask them directly.
20. Security
20.1 WENS protects your data with measures that include: encryption of saved API keys with the secure storage that Windows provides; separate browser profiles for you and for the agent; a network guard that blocks private and unsafe addresses for the agent and for Secure tabs; checks of an update’s SHA-256 and digital signature before it is run; a strict content security policy on this site; and covering of password-like fields while sharing.
20.2 No software is free of faults and no method of storage or transfer is completely secure. We cannot promise absolute security. Keep Windows and WENS up to date, protect your Windows account, and do not install WENS from any place other than wenslink.com.
20.3 If you find a security problem, please tell us at info@wenslink.com before you make it public.
21. Children
21.1 WENS Browser is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will act on it.
22. Your rights and how to raise a grievance
22.1 Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other laws that apply to you, you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we handle it, to correct or complete it, to erase it, to nominate another person to act for you, and to raise a grievance about how we handle your data.
22.2 Because WENS keeps your data on your PC, the personal data we can hold is limited to what is described in section 17. To use a right, write to info@wenslink.com with the subject “Privacy request”, and tell us how to reach you. We may ask you to prove that the request is yours before we act.
22.3 To raise a grievance, write to info@wenslink.com with the subject “Privacy grievance” and describe the problem. We will reply within a reasonable time, and in any case within the time that the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may approach the authority that the law provides for.
22.4 For data that an AI provider or another third party holds, contact that party.
23. Third-party websites and services
23.1 WENS opens websites and connects to services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Read their policies.
24. Changes to this policy
24.1 If we change what WENS collects or sends, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect in a release. A new version applies from the release that carries it. If you keep using WENS after the change, the new version applies to you. We keep the earlier version available on request.
